Designed for low-latency display of optoelectronic video, Multi-Function Displays are particularly suitable for use in firing systems, with low contribution in the feedback firing loop.
These MFDs represent the high-end models of our A4R Panel PC range which meet the operational needs of modern Armed Forces (shooting reticule, BMS, infrared video displays, target tracking, real-time sight) and cope with the roughest environments.
Our offer comprises:
- A4RV : a series of 3 XGA 10” 12” 15” MFD with ANALOG VIDEO PIP and overlay capabilities
- A4RVN : a series of 2 WXGA 12” 15” MFD with ANALOG & DIGITAL GIGABIT/SDI VIDEO PIP and overlay capabilities
- A4RVN-SL : A slim and light version of A4RVN WXGA 12” MFD
A4RV : a series of 3 XGA 10” 12” 15” MFDs with ANALOG VIDEO PIP and overlay capabilities
A4RV features the functionality of an A4R Panel PC with:
- 4 analog backup video inputs PAL/NTSC with optimized de-interlacing algorithms
- 1 level of overlay with graphic co-processing for real-time display of graphic objects (for augmented reality) managed by the A4R CPU
A4RV series allows to select 3 XGA screen sizes (10", 12", 15") equipped or not with a rugged analog-resistive “glass to glass” touchscreen and optional, lighted or not, front function buttons.

A4RVN : 2 WXGA 12” & 15” MFD with GigE Vision VIDEO PIP and overlay capabilities
IRTS A4RVN combines the functionality of an A4R Panel PC and a safe standalone display part (without any CPU load) with the following features:
- Gigabit Ethernet video interface (GigE Vision & DEF STAN-0082 compliant) with powerful hardware video processing for fixed, low latency video display
- Or Analog backup video input PAL/NTSC with optimized de-interlacing algorithms
- Up to 6 levels of overlay with graphic co-processing for real-time display of graphic objects (for augmented reality)
- Real-time video/image JPEG2000 hardware compressor (for video recording or video streaming)
In order to facilitate the growing use of augmented reality in battlefield management systems, the IRTS A4RVN MFD hardware enables efficient drawing of graphical objects (shooting reticule, png/bmp, text, bar graph, etc…) in multiple overlay planes, without CPU impact.
Moreover, the video hardware design is IEC 61508-Safety Integrity Level 2 approved.
A4RVN series allows to select 2 WXGA screen sizes (12", 15") equipped or not with a rugged analog-resistive “glass to glass” touchscreen and optional, lighted or not, front function buttons.
Full HD MFDs are planned for 2018. For others resolutions or screen sizes, please ask us.

A4RVN-SL : A slim and light version of A4RVN WXGA 12” MFD
A4RVN 6712-SL features the functionality of a Dual Core ARM A9 processing unit with:

- Or Analog backup video input PAL/NTSC with optimized interlacing algorithms
